I don't know if it is by design, bad planning or just that Kinect is widly more successful than Microsoft thought, but a lot of major retailers are out stock of Kinect right now. Amazon is my go to recommendation, and if you are Canadian or in the UK you are still good. But Amazon.com has been out of stock for awhile now. So I put this chart together to help you find Kinect in stock right now.
[Edit] - As of Black Friday stock is low everywhere. Your best bet now is the 3rd party sellers on Amazon. These sellers fall under Amazon's "A-to-z Safe Buying Gurantee" so they are as safe to buy from as Amazon themselves. If you are Canadian and looking for a Xbox 360 Kinect bundle then Indigo has had a steady supply and is the best option. Good luck!
BREAKING NEWS - Amazon.com has Kinect Sensors in stock!
Amazon.com has finally been resupplied with Kinect Sensors and the 250GB Xbox 360s with Kinect. There is no word on how many they received so don't wait ... click here now to buy. Based on pent up demand this supply may not last long!

Jeffrey L. Wilson at PCMag.com did a hands on Kinect Review and came away very impressed.
He was surprised just how accurate the Kinect sensor is. How easy it was to get up and running and most importantly how much fun he and his colleagues had playing.
He is slightly concerned you need to play in the "sweet spot about 6 to 8 feet away from the sensor". But Kinect immediately lets you know when you get out of range and helps you seamlessly find your way back. And Jeffrey had a great tip ... mark the sweet spot on the floor.
Bottom line, he thinks Kinect is well worth the money and gave it the coveted PC Mag Editor's choice award.
Microsoft has succeeded in making its spin on motion gaming not only a reality, but an insanely fun Xbox add-on that uses Kinect's depth-sensing camera and microphone in a revolutionary way that kills any accusations of it being a Wii-inspired gimmick.
If you have an Xbox, Kinect is a must-have add-on that's more than worthy of our Editors' Choice Award.

@XboxSupport that was 3 years ago... That's why I'm really having second thoughts re consoles. They don't last. But I'm excited with Kinect!

@majornelson Big question: Where are the hardcore Kinect games? without your core audience it won't succeed. Wii gamers will play the wii.
